Music for Everyone
|
Our members are passionate about hearing Jewish music, and our musicians love to sing and play the music of our people. If you want to play an active role in creating the music our congregation loves to hear, we have a place for you!
Most importantly, music helps build community. It's how we pray, how we celebrate, how we teach, and how we come together. Through diverse musical styles and collaborative worship, music at BJBE expresses our congregation's commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and Jewish identity. Music is not a performance—it is a shared experience that invites every voice, every age, and every heart to join in. Whether you're a lifelong musician or simply love to sing along, there's a place for you in our vibrant musical community. Kol Simchah (Voice of Joy) is our Youth Choir comprised of 2nd-6th graders. We meet every JLC Sunday throughout the school year to prepare for Matzah Ball Shabbat, develop a stronger Jewish musical background, and have fun! If your child is interested in participating in Kol Simchah, please contact Cantor McKenzie. Jam Band is for those who have aged out of Kol Simchah and are interested in continuing to connect musically. We work on both Jewish and secular music. The group's experience level depends on who joins the group. Our Jam Band also performs at Matzah Ball Shabbat and other occasions throughout the year. If your child is interested in the Jam Band, please contact Cantor McKenzie. BJBE Adult Choir is an important addition to our High Holiday experience at BJBE. Members who participate in this choir have a unique opportunity to enrich the heart and soul of our congregation. BJBE Multigenerational Choir is comprised of the Adult and Junior Choirs that come together during some services and events throughout the year to enhance our worship experience. If you're interested in singing with us, please contact Hannah Ciechomski, our clergy assistant. |
