B'nai Mitzvah
|
At BJBE, the path to B'nai Mitzvah begins long before the ceremony itself. Starting in fourth grade through our Jewish Learning Center (JLC) program, students build a strong foundation in Jewish learning, prayer, Torah study, and temple community. As they prepare for their B'nai Mitzvah, students develop the skills needed to lead portions of the Shabbat morning service, learn to chant from the Torah, and create a D'var Torah that reflects their own understanding and interpretation of the weekly reading.
Preparation for B'nai Mitzvah is both an educational and personal journey. Through study, practice, and reflection, students gain confidence in their abilities while deepening their connection to Jewish tradition and community. The experience challenges them to grow as learners, leaders, and thoughtful participants in Jewish life. The B'nai Mitzvah ceremony is a meaningful achievement — and the beginning of a lifelong commitment to Jewish learning, community, and tradition. We are honored to partner with families on this journey and look forward to celebrating this special milestone together. |
