Adult Education
Creates our adult education program, from ongoing classes to Scholars in Residence, with a focus on life-long learning.

BJBE offers dynamic, innovative programming for our members and guests. We provide an active community to those who wish to make a difference, a caring community to those less fortunate, and a nurturing community to those seeking connection. This includes BJBE's award-winning Sisterhood, the Post-Carpool Club, and other programs and events.
BJBE has a relationship and works closely with the following organizations.
BJBE is certified as a Safer Synagogue by Jewish Community Abuse Resources, Education & Solutions (JCARES), a coalition dedicated to addressing abuse across the Jewish community and perpetuating healthy, peaceful, Jewish homes, families, and relationships.
Annual High Holy Days Food Drive
For 37,000 Chicago area Jews, the Yom Kippur fast is not always a voluntary activity. Please help us end the pain and shame of hunger. During Rosh Hashanah, bags are distributed for our congregants to fill with non-perishable food items and paper goods to be returned to BJBE on Yom Kippur. Items will be donated to The ARK for distribution.
