Sandy Robbins, RJE, is the Director of Education at Congregation B’nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim (BJBE) in Deerfield. She earned her Master of Science in Jewish Studies from Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership. Sandy oversees all of the congregation’s educational programs and directs their many religious schools. She is the founding director of the temple's early childhood center and created BJBE's nationally recognized teaching assistant program. She is the temple's lead educator in their work with the Union for Reform Judaism's cutting edge B'nai Mitzvah Revolution, but on the local and national level. Providing a meaningful, joyful, and enriching Jewish education for all members, children and adults, has been her top priority for more than 30 years. Sandy has served as president of the local branch of the Association of Reform Jewish Educators (ARJE) and currently serves in a leadership position for this professional organization nationally.
