What are Mishloach Manot?
Mishloach Manot, also called Purim baskets, are gifts of food and drink that are sent to family and friends on Purim. The mitzvah of Mishloach Manot comes from the Book of Esther and is a symbolic representation of the Purim feast while bringing together our community. Sending a basket is a fantastic opportunity to let your friends, family, neighbors, teachers, and more know how much you appreciate them while supporting BJBE!
How does it work?
Beginning on February 1, 2019, you will be able to purchase Purim baskets for your friends and family. We will offer a reciprocity option when you are checking out to indicate you would like to automatically send a basket to anyone who is sending you a basket. Each family gifted a basket will receive a single Mishloach Manot with a card listing all of the families who contributed. Baskets will be delivered by volunteers on March 10! Look for more information mid-January including how to purchase and pricing.
How can I get involved?
We will need volunteers to help pack our Mishloach Manot on March 9
and help deliver on March 10. Please email Dani at firstname.lastname@example.org
if you are available to help!
