Dear BJBE Family,
As we prepare for the High Holy Days, I think about our congregation - a mix of familiar faces, new families, and returning generations. And I realize, we do not just sit next to one another at our High Holy Day services; we are woven into the fabric of a shared community. The image is so fitting for BJBE’s simple, yet profound theme this year: Making Connections Together.
In our fast-paced, digital world, true connection can feel fragile. Yet, our tradition teaches us that holiness is found in the spaces between us. We find meaning when we celebrate together, mourn together, and learn together.
This past year, even in transition, our synagogue served as that vital bridge. We connected seniors with engaging shared activities, learners with timeless Torah, and those in need with open hands of love and generosity. We are not just a building; we are a community of caring individuals supporting one another.
With our dynamic new rabbinic team, Rabbi Adam Wright and Rabbi Zachary Canali, we have a unique opportunity to strengthen these connections and form new ones in collaboration with Cantor Frost, Cantor McKenzie and the whole staff.
