Early Childhood Center

The Early Childhood Center is an integral part of BJBE's highly respected religious school, regarded as among the best in the Chicago area.

We now offer preschool in Deerfield, in a wonderful facility at 445 Pine St.   Registration for 2008-09 is open to the community.  Please call Debbie Becker at (847) 729-7575 for more information.

Our professional staff, including volunteer grandparents, is dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing, Jewish atmosphere in which to learn. Our Rabbis are very involved in the program and enjoy frequent interaction with the students.

Our philosophy of education is developmentally based. We learn through play. All of our activities are geared to your child's abilities and creative spirit. Fostering social skills and preparation for kindergarten are important areas of concentration.

Jewish holidays are a significant part of our curriculum. Every tradition and every observance is centered around hands-on activities and experiences. Shabbat is a very special time at school. Our school "family" is often joined by members of our students' families at the Shabbat table.

Helping to create Jewish family memories is an important goal in our school. Often, the whole family is invited to participate in a Jewish experience - From decorating our child-sized sukkah to sharing a model seder.
