On Erev Rosh Hashanah this year, I talked about how the way we tell our life’s story will shape the way we live.  All of us make mistakes and experience failure from time to time.  But if we focus on the failures so much that we make them the defining moments of our story, we will inevitably come to fear that we are incapable of succeeding.  Fear is a powerful emotion; it can paralyze us, preventing us from taking the risks and making the changes necessary in order to be happy.
